The School: A Brief Background D.A.V. Public School, Kurukshetra came into existence in a rented Kothi in Sector-13, Urban Estate on 25 January 1987. The admission process for the first session began on 01 February 1987. The school was, however, formally inaugurated on 09 August 1987. In the first year the school had classes from Nursery to VI, a students’ strength of 184 and 8 well-qualified, experienced and dedicated teachers. Over the years, the school has risen to phenomenal heights. At present it is a full-fledged Senior Secondary CBSE affiliated school with more than 3110 students, 120 teachers, 51 members of the non-teaching staff on its rolls. The school is being run in two campuses.
